Physcia adscendens is a well known nitrophyte. Few if any of these species have circular thallus outlines and lichenometric utility. What basis for comparison is there... to establish colonization rate or establish if this is a first generation community? Storage alone is not responsible for the loss of lichen thalli on a surface... abrasion/handling?
