A hybrid technique, developed for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) decomposition using electron beam (EB) irradiation, microwave (MW) treatment, and catalyst method, is presented. The combination of a non-thermal plasma (NTP) induced by both, EB and MW, with in situ heterogeneous catalysis (denoted as ``EB+MW plasma catalysis'') is presented as a new approach and a promising method to improve the oxidation of VOCs and the energy efficiency of the plasma process. Several laboratory installations, developed for the study of VOCs decomposition by separate and combined EB, MW and catalyst, are also described.
