Cosmological Models
Scientific paper
This paper provides a general overview of the ideas propounded by the Anthropic Principle, with particular emphasis on the anthropic constraints associated with the Big Bang theory for the early Universe. It will discuss both the Weak Anthropic Principle, which claims that our existence imposes some sort of selection effect on where and when we observe the Universe and the more controversial Strong Anthropic Principle, which says that the constants of physics themselves depend on our existence.
