Moon Mineralogy Mapper (M^3) spectra over the Orientale Basin show that
crystalline plagioclase is pervasive throughout the IRM while mafic
signatures are lacking. This indicates that an extensive, coherent layer
of highly pure anorthosite was sampled by the impact.
