The 400 scintillation counters of the central part of the EAS detection installation of the Baksan Neutron Observatory were used to study small atmospheric showers with an initial energy of about 10 to the 13th eV. The first and second harmonics of the Fourier-series expansion of the diurnal waves were obtained in the form of vectors. The amplitude of the first sidereal harmonic does not show an appreciable dependence upon initial energy in the range (1-6) x 10 to the 13th eV, while the amplitude of the second harmonic increases with increasing energy. It is suggested that this difference in the energy dependence of the two harmonics can be explained by the interaction of the primary flux with the IMF.
