Solar Cosmic Rays: Anisotropy, Detectors
Scientific paper
High Energy Detector (HED) of SOHO/ERNE detects solar cosmic ray nuclei in the energy range from 12 to 120 MeV/n. It has a wide view cone (120° square), large geometric factor and a good angular resolution of 1°, and thus is a good instrument for the analysis of SCR angular distributions. In this work, a method to analyse the form of SCR directional distributions is presented. It is applied to three solar energetic particle events.
