Solutions of Einstein's equations which describe isolated scattering
systems are discussed and a set of asymptotic boundary conditions, which
appear to characterize such solutions, is proposed. These conditions are
then used to obtain a canonical definition of the total amount of
angular momentum radiated by such a system.
