A linear, stationary problem of radiation transfer in a homogeneous plane layer is considered. An analytical expression is obtained for the general solution of the transfer equations. In the general solution of transfer problems for a layer of finite thickness, there occurs the reflection operator from a semi-infinite medium ρ and a semi-group of transmission operators Χ(τ). The formulas obtained may be used for theoretical investigations, as well as for the approximate solution of transfer problems.
