A core-envelope configuration with a parabolic distribution of matter in
the core was developed. This model eliminates the singularities of
Tolman's (1939) VI solution and has continuity of the variables at the
boundary. The expression is in closed form and leads to very simple
expressions for the core size and density ratio.
