We present preliminary 2D model results of the spatial distribution and flux levels of fundamental and second harmonic plasma radiation generated in Earth's foreshock by beam-driven Langmuir waves. Our model self-consistently calculates electron beams in the foreshock using Louville's theorem and the method of characteristics, incorporating new empirical results for electron reflection and acceleration by the electrostatic cross-shock potential. The model also incorporates stochastic growth theory for the steady-state production of Langmuir waves, combined with quasi-linear relaxation and nonlinear wave processes to obtain realistic, quantitative estimates of emission into electromagnetic waves. The model is robust, taking into account the full range of relevant physical parameters (upstream flow speed, Alfven Mach number, electron temperature and density and magnetic field orientation) and geometric effects within the framework of a parabolic bow shock. The model predicts that energetically significant amounts of both fp and 2fp radiation can be produced, with the strongest emission near (but not at) the tangent point. The emission decreases most rapidly in the direction perpendicular to the tangent magnetic field line, especially for the fp radiation, which is overall more localised than the 2fp radiation. The 2fp emission in particular extends along the tangent field line for distances of ~ 100 RE.
