The lg R-gamma distribution at R-gamma greater than 1 is shown to be sensitive to the interaction model. Of the models considered, the best agreement with experiment at R-gamma greater than 1 is given by a model with the generation of quark-gluon strings and scaling violation in the fragmentation region. The value of Sigma E-gamma R-gamma correlates strongly with energy E0, making it possible to determine E0 from the measured Sigma E-gamma R-gamma with an uncertainty of about 2.
