The paper presents results of model calculations of the spatial distribution function of Cerenkov emission from extensive air showers. This distribution function is calculated for two variants of the scaling model, which differ in regard to suppositions concerning the character of the growth of the cross section of the inelastic interaction of hadrons with energy. The second variant, which has a higher shower maximum, is shown to agree better with the experimental data.
