The paper examines the problem of the relative equilibrium of a gyrostatic satellite in a circular orbit in the case when the principal central axes of the satellite are directed along the axes of the orbital coordinate system. The necessary and sufficient conditions for the stability of the equilibrium orientation are analyzed in the space of parameters characterizing a gyrostatic satellite.
