In this paper we present the analysis of long-duration arcade flare of 27 April 1998. On the basis of Yohkoh X-ray images, SOHO/EIT UV images, Ondřejov Hα images and Kitt Peak magnetograms we determined the spatial structure of analysed flare and physical parameters of the loop-top flare kernels (temperatures, densities and altitudes). Using these parameters the kernel heating was investigated in detail. We found that: 1. The loop-top flare kernels occurred at the crossings of the arcade channel and arcade loops. 2. The energy release in these kernels occurred during the whole flare decay phase. 3. The kernel evolution during the decay phase was quasi-steady-state (QSS). 4. The flare kernels were multithermal.
