Scientific paper

The observational features of 51 spike emissions observed at 2545 and 2645 MHz in the 22nd solar cycle, including the high flux density, the short duration, the narrow radio bandwidth, the fast frequency drift, the quasi-periodic oscillations and the rapid variations of polarization senses of spike emissions are briefly discussed. The close relations between the 51 spike emissions and the associated optical flares, the strengths and configurations of the magnetic field, the classes of the sunspot groups of the flare active regions are also outlined.
