The question of relative equilibrium of a gyrostatic satellite in circular orbit is considered for the case where the main central axes of inertia of the satellite are directed along the axes of the orbital coordinate system. The necessary and sufficient conditions for stability of equilibrium orientation are analyzed in the parameter space characterizing the gyrostatic satellite.
