Signatures of high flux solar energetic particle (SEP) events related to strong magnetic storms in the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) were investigated, using the fluctuation measure sigma-B. Events were identified with SEP proton flux from 15000 to 30,000 pfu (> 10 MeV proton). The SEP proton flux data is from NOAA and the Helium and hydrogen ion data is from ACE. Several storm dates have been selected which meet the criteria and the He++/H+ ratios were found to be about 0.2. The ratio enhancement contribution to the ring current Dst index was estimated, by comparison to regular magnetic storms, to be some 30%. Diffusion of SEP and He was investigated via a Fokker Planck transport model and the result provided support for the correlation of SEP peak flux with Dst values. Comparison to medium SEP proton flux events, such as the Jan 20, 2005 event, was discussed.
