Experimental results are presented on refraction anomalies in the optical range and VLF radio range at zenith distances from 81 to 89 deg. The refraction anomalies are investigated as a function of the visible zenith angle of the radiation sources, the time of day, and the season. The results can be used to construct refraction-prediction models on the basis of regional models of the atmosphere.
