Under the condition of primary cosmic rays incident with different composition, the multi-muon phenomena are simulated by the scaling model of the hadronic interactions included in the mechanism of jet production with large transverse momentum. The results show that the primary heavy nuclei contribute significantly to the large muon-multiplicity events observed deep underground. Even when the primary model with heavy-nucleus dominance is used, the simulated multi-muon even rate is still lower than the experimental data, and suggests the existence of other multi-muon sources. The lateral distribution of multi-muon events is in accordance with experiments.
