The theory of electron production and recombination in the F-region has
been applied to the preparation of model h'(f) curves. These curves,
used as overlays, enable ionograms to be analysed rapidly for measures
of electron production and the "linear" recombination coefficient and
for the scale height of atomic oxygen.
