Over the last year, the assigned role of NASA's Space Physics Data Facility (SPDF) project has extended beyond its existing set of critical infrastructure services to include a new role as NASA's active Final Archive responsible for non-solar heliophysics data. We will discuss SPDF's new archival role in the context of other changes occuring in the heliophysics data environment. We will outline SPDF's intended approach to implementing these new responsibilities and working in close coordination with the flight science projects (such as THEMIS, STEREO, TWINS and C/NOFS), the NASA Heliophysics Virtual discipline Observatories (VxOs) and the international science community. We will highlight the most important new datasets and functional extensions to our major current services including the VSPO (a comprehensive inventory of distributed heliophysics data products), the CDF format (and its recent 3.3 release), CDAWeb (and its new Javascript-based interface), OMNIweb, SSCWeb with the 4D Orbit Viewer, and our webservices APIs.
