An orientation platform, capable of pointing a 75 cm aperture
far-infrared telescope to an accuracy of about 0.5 arcmin is described.
The performance of the platform as realised in a balloon flight is
evaluated. An rms pointing error of 0.7 arcmin and rms position
determination error of 0.2 arcmin was achieved during the flight.
