The interaction between the blast wave and inhomogeneities in the interstellar medium is a possible source of the formation of optical filaments in old supernova remnants. In order to check this theoretical model the correlation between integral brightness and the halfwidth of the H-alpha line in filaments of Simeiz 147 and VRO 42.05.01 were investigated. The observations were carried out with a high contrast Fabry-Perot etalon and a contact image converter. The velocities of the radiatively cooling shock waves propagating into the inhomogeneities were estimated to be about 20 to 180 km/sec in all supernova remnants previously investigated by the author.
