VBLUW photometry of two interacting O type binaries UW CMa and HD 167971 are presented and discussed. The light and colour curves of UW CMa (P = 4d.39336) show evidence of plasma streams in the system. The light amplitude of the optical micro variations likely originating mainly on the O8.5 I component, is about twice as large as for non distorted stars of the same temperature. The micro variations superimposed on the light curve of HD 167971 (P = 3d.3218), likely originating on the more distant component of this triple system, are of a normal size. Convincing colour variations during the binary revolution are detected. The size of these amplitudes are corrected for the light of the companion(s).
