Scientific paper

Galileo's recorded observations of Neptune are examined, including an
assessment of the accuracies of the positions of Neptune and those of
the Jovian satellites. It is shown that one observation may be of
astrometric value. The possible error in the ephemeris of Neptune is
also discussed.
