An improved second-harmonic Gunn oscillator with new design has been built. It has the features of simple configuration, easily processing and working stably. Its operating frequency covers wide band with a maximum output power of 23 mW and more than 450 MHz bias tuning bandwidth. After phase-locking, a locking bandwidth of more than 800 MHz is achieved.
