The 14 deg 55 min N geomagnetic latitude ground station at Varanasi, India has obtained whistler occurrence rate periodicity data which are presently interpreted in terms of duct life at low L values. A power spectrum analysis of the whistler data has yielded a period of about 50 min for duct growth and decay, and dispersion analysis has qualitatively confirmed the existence of separate ducts during the period of the present observations.
