Classical Maxwell-Lorentz electrodynamics is considered for a world of
arbitrary size in which the matter-field state is a function of only
four space-time variables. It is shown that motion in additional
dimensions gives rise to interactions which are nonelectromagnetic in
nature (i.e., Newtonian gravitation-type interactions).
