It is shown that axions could form a new type of astrophysical object. The central part of the object is a cosmic maser working due to stimulated decays of the axions. The incident flow of axions from the peripheral area supplies the maser with power. Cosmological strings naturally can form such a structure. The energy release has a value typical for quasars and so a new model of quasars is proposed.
