The new morphological catalog of lunar craters contains data on coordinates, diameters, and basic morphological characteristics of 14,923 craters which are more than 10 km in diameter. The mean density of craters spread over an area of 10 to the 6th sq km is 442 objects for all continental regions and 73 for mare regions. It is found that large craters appear more frequently at early stages of lunar surface formation than at late stages.
