A data processing method has been applied to an analysis of the ground level enhancement which occurred on Nov. 22, 1977. Data of five to ten minute listings of pressure-corrected neutron monitor rates from 16 stations are utilized for this analysis. Five source parameters: counting rate, latitude, longitude, power law exponent in the spectral representation of solar particles, and power law exponent of the angular spread of the source are determined by the data processing method. As guess values, a counting rate of 2.742 x 10 to the 7th, latitude of -20 deg, longitude of 30 deg, solar particle spectral representation power law exponent of -5 and an angular source spread power law exponent of 5 have been obtained, where the effect of 1100 UT magnetosphere is introduced in addition to the internal magnetic field
