The parameters of gravitational waves emitted by continuous sources of gravitational radiation, such as binaries and pulsars, remain practically constant for the earth observer. Long-term observation of gravitational waves against a noisy background is therefore possible using heterodyne detection techniques. Here, a hardware implementation is proposed for the adaptive sequential processing of the output signal of a heterodyne gravitational antenna. Error probabilities are determined.
