An adaptive optical system is proposed which compensates for random angular shifts of the image energy center of gravity caused by atmospheric turbulence. A basis for the algorithm of system functioning is given in the paper, and the operation of the system is analyzed. It is shown that the values of the parameter which characterizes the system efficiency vary from 4 to 12, depending on the frequency of random shifts of the image energy center of gravity.
