The origin of 26Al in the universe is one of mysteries of astrophysics. It was proposed that the reaction, 14N(16O,α)26Alg (7.2 × 105 a), may be one source of 26Al in cosmic rays. By using the high sensitivity of AMS for the 26Al measurement, the 26Al produced through this reaction was measured and the cross sections around barrier energies were deduced.
