In 2003, the Vibration and Acoustics Test Laboratory of Beijing Institute of Spacecraft Environmental Engineering, China, completed a rigorous and successful random vibration and sine-burst loads structural qualification test for the Electromagnetic Calorimeter (ECAL) of Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer 02 (AMS-02). The AMS is an international project led by Professor Samuel C.C. Ting in order to do physics experiment on the International Space Station (ISS), so the AMS-02 ECAL structure test program required high level of laboratory effort and the coordination of technical working groups from multiple countries (China, France, Italy, US). This paper provides an overview of the test program from test design through test execution and the main technical issues of the test program are described in the paper.
