Amorphous Mg-silicates are excellent Fischer-Tropsch catalysts that
convert H2 and CO into hydrocarbons almost as well as
Fe-silicates. Mg-silicates do not catalyze formation of ammonia. N is
incorporated into the organics if CO, N2 and H2
are used.
