Carbon Stars: Spectra, Comets: Carbon, Comet 1986 Iii Halley

The authors present a fitting of the spectrum of the carbon star GL 799,
obtained using a mixture of amorphous carbon and silicon carbide grains.
They have also interpreted the 3.4 μm band of Comet Halley, assuming
as carriers highly hydrogenated amorphous carbon grains.
