This is a continuation of T017, a study of NH3 emission from infra-red dark clouds. Although T017 was delayed by more than two years, it has finally become very productive, with more than 30 detections of NH3 emission with short integrations on the 70m telescope. In this follow-on project we will search clouds from the Simon et al. (2006) catalog with various contrast factors, corresponding to a range of physical conditions. The NH3 lines will show temperature, density, optical depth, and velocity, hence kinematic distance, for a complete sample of infra-red selected clouds.
