The sulfate mineral jarosite was detected at Meridiani Planum, Mars,
with the Mössbauer spectrometer MIMOS II on the MER Opportunity.
Analog studies were performed with a lab MIMOS II version on sulfate
samples from Rio Tinto region in Spain.
