The reaction 14C(α, γ)18O has been measured in the alpha energy range of Eα = 1.14-2.33 MeV. The resonance strengths of the 4+ resonance at Eα = 1.14 MeV and of the 1- resonance at Eα = 1.79 MeV have been measured relative to the 14C(p, γ)15N resonance at Ep=0.528 MeV. Additionally, two nonresonant γ-transitions to the ground state and to the first excited state of 18O were found. The energy dependence of their cross sections can be described by the direct capture process and its interference with the two 1- resonances at Eα = 1.79 and 2.33 MeV.
