Scientific paper

Flux limits in the range 10-13 - 10-12cm-2s-1 have been obtained by observing Cherenkov flashes from small air showers. During 1983, a 3.5 σ excess of showers was observed during the phase interval 0.2 - 0.3 of the 4.8 h period of Cygnus X-3, but not excess was found in 1984 observations.
