The AGILE Gamma Ray Imaging Detector (GRID) detected W Comae in the period between 2008-06-09 17:02 UT and 2008-06-15 02:17 UT during a Target of Opportunity re-pointing in response to the source detection in the TeV energy band (see Swordy et al., ATEL #1565). A preliminary maximum likelihood analysis shows a detection at a significance level of about 4 sigma, at energies above 100 MeV. The source is an approved target of the AGILE Announcement of Opportunity, Cycle 1 (PI: E.
