New independent sets of laboratory absorption data for molecular oxygen provide sufficient spectral resolution in the Schumann-Runge region to yield line widths of the rotational lines. A definitive determination of the absorption cross-sections as a function of wavelength and temperature is possible. An analysis has been made to prepare a parameterization adapted to 500/cm intervals for atmospheric conditions between 170 and 270 K in the mesosphere and stratosphere.
