An experiment is proposed using the Chatanika transmitter and the EISCAT
receiver, suitably tuned, for bistatic measurement of the polar
ionosphere, from a minimum height of 650 km. This experiment can be
performed only before the Chatanika transmitter is relocated in 1982.
