The paper describes the principles behind the use of acoustoptic filtering for spectrophotometric investigations in the UV range. A block diagram of the experimental setup is presented, and results are given on spectral maasurements of solar radiation and radiation from mercury-quartz lamps. The precision of wavelength determination was not worse than 0.5 nm; the SNR amounted to 60 dB for a spectrum recording time of 80 sec in the 280-400-nm wavelength range.
