The spherical accretion of matter onto a massive static black hole is considered. The stationary hydrodynamic equations are solved, and the emergent radiation spectra are obtained. The density of e(-)-e(+) pairs is calculated, and these pairs are discussed with reference to the observed spectral shape and the total luminosity. It is shown that, because of the gamma-gamma reactions, the spectrum decreases with a steep slope (less than 3) above an energy of about 1 MeV.
