A full system of quasi-hydrodynamic equations is obtained which describes the interaction of plasma with strong radiation. The system is used to investigate spherically symmetric Eddington accretion onto a neutron star. Expressions are derived which describe spatial distributions of density, temperature, and flows of plasma and photon gas. The overall flow pattern is shown to depend on a single external parameter, namely, the relative proximity to the Eddington limit.
