Scientific paper

The temporal evolution of relativistic electrons in radio jets is obtained by numerically solving the kinetic equation of the interaction between charged particles and Alfvén turbulence, including synchrotron radiation loss. The energy of relativistic electrons can be accelerated to as high as Lorentz factor γ ≡ 106. The energy spectrum of energetic electrons is a power law, and the acceleration time is about 1012 - 1014s. The energy spectrum index of electrons is almost independed on the Alfvén wave spectrum index and synchrotron loss. The latter affects the energy up-limit of acceleration.
