A solution is obtained to the self-consistent problem regarding the wave and particle spectrum, and a calculation is made of the energy spectrum of electrons (E = 50 keV) accelerated in the interplanetary medium by the statistical Alfven mechanism with a magnetic pumping period of about 10,000 sec. Allowance for the radial expansion of the magnetic field, convection, and adiabatic delay is made in the investigation. The conditions for this mechanism of acceleration are examined.
