The method of generations is used to obtain a numerical solution to the
problem of the propagation and acceleration of cosmic rays in the
stellar wind, limited by a standing shock wave. In application to the
heliosphere, a calculation is made of the intensity of accelerated
protons near earth orbit in the 0.1-20 MeV energy range.
